  • New Duelist Hush can redirect her pull and flash in midair, dash to a placed anchor and steer an ultimate that levitates caught players.
  • Warden's early recoil is smoother, with lower error on bullets two and three; Clove's Pick-me-up movement bonus falls from 15% to 10%.
  • Performance Score gets clearer end-of-game information, while ability descriptions and passive tooltips are easier to read.

Java 26.4 Snapshot 6 adds Snow Bricks

  • Snow Blocks now craft into Snow Bricks, with slab, stair and wall variants; use a shovel if you want the block to drop itself.
  • A Sulfur Cube that absorbs Blue Ice becomes a Cold archetype, floating and freezing open water beneath it while moving.
  • Java heap size now scales automatically with system RAM, up to 25% and a maximum of 4 GB.

  • Creators can test the new platform-integrated TextChatService flow now; it becomes the required custom-chat path in May 2027.

Silent Reload now supports Hold or Toggle

  • A new setting lets you choose whether Silent Reload stays active while holding reload or continues after one press.
  • In Toggle mode, release the key after the silent reload starts; tap reload again to cancel it and switch back to the fast reload.
  • The update also fixes reload sounds leaking at the start, black liquid on AMD graphics cards, and sound/UI issues while rewinding demos.

Turn Hush's redirected utility into space

  • Throw Displacement or Flashbulb, then redirect it around cover with your crosshair; prepare the cast first when you need a tighter timing.
  • Displacement concusses players who collide with a surface or another player, so aim the pull toward walls instead of open ground.
  • Use Flow's anchor before committing: it can propel you into the space created by your utility, and briefly holds Hush in place when cast airborne.
  • Compare attacker and defender win rates instead of judging a map only by its overall grade.
  • Relearn Corrode retakes: defender routes into both sites are shorter, and Mid's metal half wall changes wallbangs and A Link timings.

Move to Switch 2 without losing your world

  • If you own Minecraft digitally on Switch, claim the free Switch 2 Standard Edition through Nintendo eShop before January 31, 2027; regional exceptions apply.
  • Physical-edition owners do not get the free Standard upgrade, but launching the Switch version on Switch 2 during the offer period should show a discounted Ultimate Collection offer.
  • Use the official world-migration flow to carry existing Switch worlds over, and verify each important world before removing the old copy.
  • Vibrant Visuals is not available in split-screen or in every Marketplace world, so use the default graphics mode when compatibility matters.
  • In Snapshot 6, craft four Snow Blocks into Snow Bricks and mine them with a shovel; slabs, stairs and walls cannot be made in a Stonecutter yet.
  • Feed a Sulfur Cube Blue Ice to test the Cold archetype over open water, but keep using a separate test world or backup because snapshots can corrupt saves.

  • Plan sessions around Captain's Days on November 1, 7, 12, 14 and 21 when new weapons, Sprites and other content enter the map.
  • Mastery Mondays add Captain weapons to the start of matches, while Treasure Hours Sundays boost drops—use those windows for focused practice and loot runs.

  • If you build experiences, enable TextChatService.PlatformIntegratedChat in a test place first—do not test the migration in production.
  • Audit custom chat windows, admin commands, presets and prefixes, then replace player-to-player messaging with Roblox's native chat tools.
  • Plan around the rollout: automatic opt-in begins in February 2027 and the new flow becomes mandatory in May 2027.
  • If your experience uses Roblox's default chat with no customizations, no migration work is currently required.

Choose the right reload, then review the round

  • Try Silent Reload on Toggle if holding the reload key disrupts movement; one press starts it and a second press returns to the fast reload.
  • Use the quiet option when the extra time is safe, but cancel immediately when contact is likely—practise that switch until it is automatic.
  • Download the replay and pause just before your death; use Free Cam to check what information and cover were available.
  • Switch to Chase Cam to judge crosshair placement, spacing and whether you were ready to trade.
  • Write down one fix only—positioning, utility timing or aim—then practise that focus in the next session.

Turn Cipher's information into safe loot

  • On Crypto, park the drone where Sentry Mode can watch a doorway or rotation, then pick it up and redeploy before the battery is wasted on an empty angle.
  • Treat every Stronghold alarm as a third-party warning. Hold its built-in cover and Hardlight while opening, or wait nearby for another squad to trigger it first.
  • With Akimbo Wingman, slow down and confirm shots instead of dumping both revolvers; the official preview still describes it as precision-focused.
  • Diamond+ players should practise at least two backup Legends: every player can nominate a ban, and the final result is chosen from the vote probabilities.
  • Revenant can commit more often with faster Tactical access and a shorter Ultimate cooldown; Lifeline can cycle D.O.C. faster and unlock safer revives through upgrades.

Adapt to the Season 5 hotfix

  • Doctrine now needs cleaner target selection: Eternal Scepter heals and damages less, and Invigorating Drones last one second less.
  • Use Sombra's Cyberspace as planned team utility instead of burst damage; its explosion damage is halved and its cooldown is one second longer.
  • Roadhog can hold space more reliably with stronger Take a Breather, while Kiriko's restored 250 health makes aggressive angles safer.
  • D.Mon has 25 less armor, so avoid extending Propulsor entries without cover or support. PC DualSense users can retry the controller after the October 20 fix.
